About Me

Hi- I'm Betsie and you're a Mom or Dad who's landed here for a very good reason. You've tried managing your child's problem...and things are getting worse.  Know what? I created A Mindful Approach just for your child. Stress, nervousness and sadn are approached with highly effective techniques studied and applied in my own life and in the lives of thousands of children & teens for more than thirty years.

Did you know that engaging with children is altogether different from guiding adults? It requires a keen understanding of child and adolescent development and behavior, especially when it comes to how the brain works. Patience and a passion for working with young people are absolute musts.

Your son/daughter will be taught a combination of techniques to soften stress, calm fears & alleviate     nervousness which may include: breath awareness, bibliotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dream interpretation, emotional freedom technique (EFT/Tapping), guided imagery, journaling & The Sedona Method of releasing undesireable emotions.

Your child will gain a sense of control over thoughts & feelings, instead of feeling controlled by them.


You'll receive a reassuring review of your child's progress at the end of each month.

You know, timing is everything- and the best time to treat your child's problem is early, when symptoms first begin to surface. 

My Approach

My Therapy Room is a soothing sanctuary of comfort conducive to positive outcomes. It's an "allergy friendly" environment. No mold, no pets, no perfumes!

Your child can generally be seen within two weeks of your first call

Convenient hours include Sundays

I give MY best so children can become THEIR best!

If your son or daughter has been in "talk therapy" for six months or more and isn't feeling better, consider A Mindful Approach. Marked improvement using Mindfulness-based techniques often occurs in children for whom "talk therapy" alone hasn't brought lasting results.
